Wow!
It's good to finally be somewhere that doesn't feel like the middle of no
where!
Just to warn everyone, yes, I have a white '92 Stealth RT, but sadly no,
it's not TT. (I couldn't afford the insurance.)
I'd be really excited to meet you guys. I don't know too much about
my car, but I really enjoy learning about it. Lunch on a weekday is kinda
a bad idea, but sometime on the weekends would be cool.
Thanks a bunch for the Cedar Rapids welcome!

Team3S: Engine idles low occassionly
I've had a problem with my VR4, the engine has been idling really low (to
the point where the car seems like its about to stall almost). At first I
attributed this to my batter which was dead/dying, but now that I have a brand
new Optima it still happens occassionly. Any idea what the problem could be? All
the connections look tight. Other times I have no problem starting up the
car.
Stock VR4 with the exception of a K&N, 57k miles.

Team3S: 5 Speed Transmission Question pertaining to a 92 VR 4 with a 25 splines
output shaft
Who replaced the shaft and input sleeve? I ask because your
description sounds like a stripped shaft to me. I just replaced mine, car
is not back on the road yet.
You'll need to pull off the transfer case to inspect.
You say "it won't go into any gears". Does that mean you can't put
the shifter in the correct position, or putting the shifter in the correct
position doesn't change the results? If you can't put the shifter into
position, it's possible something is wrong on the front cover. The shafts
in the transmission are supported by the front cover. No support, pretty
tough to shift.
Also, don't forget to drain the fluid into something clear so you can check
the condition of the fluid.
Frank at Kormex is pretty helpful. You can call him for advice
too.
