Brief update from my discussions with everyone

1. Vacuum pipes leaking

The general thoughts are that leaks/breaks in the vacuum are causing a combination of over and under boost that I'm seeing. To resolve this I'm purchasing 5mm SAMCO SILICONE VACUUM TUBING and replacing all of the joins in my tubing that's there at the moment.

2. Turbocharger wastegate not opening

One of the other thoughts is that the wastegate is not opening. Hopefully fixing the pipes will resolve this however there's a very handy turbo 'what's wrong' guide here http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/fault.htm

3. Boost control

Not going to solve my problems at the moment however will be good to have once the basics are back together.

Regards

Alex

I was wanting to know the best and cheapest way to boost my horse power to about 400.  I'm don't know a whole lot about the exhaust, but i thought that would be a good place to start.

Try this:
K&N  intake
Stillen downpipe (removes front and main cats)
Gut the rear cat (free--do it when installing the Stillen) Blitz DSBC Boost controller
BOV
Regap the plugs (free)

You can do all of this yourself in your garage. Tuning instructions for the DSBC are on Roger's website. You should be able to find everything used on the Internet somewhere.

This is what I have, and an old Hot Rod Magazine equation says that my 13.1 @ 105 mph equates to about 400 flywheel hp.

Subject: Team3S: grounding kits

It snowed like crazy here in Colorado yesterday and on my way home from work, I noticed that my headlights dimmed significantly when my RPM's went down.  When I got home, I tested the alternator; it was fine.  Then I tested the battery; also fine.  I found "grounding kits" on several sites.  Could this fix the problem?

Subject: Team3S: Oil Pan Baffles

Has anyone heard of or know anything about the oil pan in the TT's.....

Do they have baffles in the oil pan?

If not can they be welded in?

Custom pans available?
