Wash/Wax
Try a clay bar to remove sap and such, after that try one of the
three
step kits. Most will include a cleaner and fine cut compound and a
wax.
Dish soap is a definite no-no --- too harsh !!!
be careful with any rubbing compounds --- use the finest available
so
you don't scratch the surface. If the black is coming off that means you
may have a clearcoat problem or maybe the car was repainted
without
clearcoat.
Nu finish looks ok in the ads but I know nothing of it. Zymol is
supposed
to be one of the best waxes but I'm sure you'll find many other
opinions.
I think Team3S has a write-up in the FAQ section.

Try using something call 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. It helps to remove
swirl
marks and leaves a great shine. After this step use a good quality wax
to
protect the finish. I like to use a product called P21S. IMHO it's the
best
carnuba wax out there.

Team3S: RE: car wont start - VERY detailed description inside
Jesse,
The following might be the culprit,
August 22nd 3:00pm
We stop for gas. I fill up, I get gas. The car starts
up fine.
You may have gotten a bad tank of gas and it's fouled your fuel filter.
Sometimes this can give intermitant running results like you
described
until it ggets fully plugged up. You can put in a new one,
but the same
thing will happen in not too many miles when the filter fouls
again. If
this is the problem, you may need to get the tank drained and
flushed.
It happened to me once in an Aerostar van I owned.
Just a possibility,
Steve

Instead of guessing whether the gas is bad, you can siphon or pump it out
and look. if "bad" meaning it contains water (condensate) it will look like
mocha frappacino.

Sediment is also a possibility.
At any rate, if you install a new fuel filter and the car runs
again,
that pretty much tells you what the problem is.

Team3S: 155,000 miles maintenance '93 Stealth TT
Lost radiator fluid the other day, got it into Dodge dealership, they
thought it was water pump and ordered a new one and gaskets. Today
they called, said it was blown top hose. i told them to go ahead, with
the new water pump, change out all the hoses, put in new plugs, (Bosch
Platinums?) and change the timing belt.
Did I miss anything? Should I keep the old water pump for a core
exchange in the future, it was ok.
Should I change out all the lubricant in the tranny and 4wdrive system,
and if so what lubricants should I use? I don't race, and don't push
it very hard very often, and am a firm believer in Mobil 1 for the
engine.
I need the little speaker on the drivers side of the dash next to the
windshield, mine started buzzing like mad, no dirt in it, must have a
cone rupture. They have a snap down rim that pops them in place in the
dash. Easy to put in, hard to get out.

Timing belt tensioner, in case they do not think it needs a
replacement.

Any recomendations for a relativily cheap brake pads. In a mixup with
a
distributor I got brake pads for free. Problem is, they make so much
noise.
Had them checked, nothing is wrong. It just seems they are cheap. I
cant
stand the squeeling and just before my car comes to a stop i can
feel
grinding on the pedal. But when taken off, the rotors are smooth and
there
is no sign of grinding. So Im looking for brake pads for everyday
driving
that dont squeel and grind. I have a 92 Stealth Base, so i dont
need
anything proformance here.
Thanks

PSI boost. Ideas?
Poltergeist would be the correct answer if the cars were German.
Massive air leak is pretty much out as the cars drive normally they just
can't generate
boost --- a big leak would make it run pig rich if you were
dumping metered air.
Maybe a pinched intake to the turbo[s] --- I find it hard to believe you
could stop up
the flow to both turbos at just the right amount to
generate zero boost.
Bad turbo[s] ??? somehow the CHRA is hung up, but having a
problem with both is not
realistic.
Since the car runs normally, just no boost, it has to be turbos not
spinning or intake air
restricted. I'm a little confused what would happen if
a recirculation type BOV sticks open.
What happens when one turbo fails ??? I would think you'd get the pressure
at the 'Y'
pipe from the good turbo trying to go back to the MAS through the
non spinning turbo
compressor --- Yikes, I get a headache trying to figure
those things out.

Team3S: Blitz Power Meter Question
I'm sure someone out there has the Blitz Power Meter ID/SBC-ID combo.
I installed this a few weeks back. Everything works fine except I can't
get the speed on the Power Meter to register accurately. I mean, it's way
way off. I have the Defi VSD-II heads-up display that displays the speed
digitally, and it's right on the mark, so I know it's not the speed signal from
the ECU. The Power Meter is supposed to register speed in MPH. I've
calibrated and recalibrated 10-15 times according to the manual with no
luck. Any suggestions? TIA
