Team3S: Short Block Price
Could someone help me refresh my memory, what is a good price on a two
bolt
short block? I might need one.

Team3S: Short Block Price
New Forged (stronger), Overbore (more powerful), non-interfering (no
more
bent valves!) pistons with your choice of compression: $650
Parts and labor to do a shortblock rebuild: $800-1300.
New block that is stronger, more powerful and more reliable than any
stock
block: Priceless.
OEM shortblock, I hear $1500 is awesome, 2000 is avarage, 2800 is
MSRP.

I wish I could, but it was a bottle of something I picked up from the
local
hardware store in Germany. It had the consistency of caulk, went
on white,
dried clear and sealed so well that the evaporated moisture
couldn't get
out - doh!

Team3S: Caliper Rebuild Grease
I recently bought the Beck Arnley front caliper rebuild kit (071-7888)
for
my 92 Stealth Turbo and I have a question about the grease that is
mentioned
in the service manual. The service manual says that there is
supposed to be
a grease packet (orange) with the rebuild kit and the piston
seals are
supposed to be coated with a "special grease". The Beck
Arnley kit did not
come with either of these greases. What type of
grease should I use for
each of these? I also read somewhere that you
can just use brake fluid on
the seals instead of grease. Does anyone
know if this is true?
Thanks.
