You can buy reconditioned cranks --- however --- they are not treated or hardened to my knowledge. I bought a crank from Topline for my spare engine but had it nitrided and polished by a crank shop after I got it. I also had to install sleeves on both front and rear seal surfaces because of the groove caused by the old seal. Make sure you get a low cut crank -- 10/10 is the maximum I'd go, ten thousandths on the mains and rod journals. As a result you'll have to use the bearings they provide or go with Clevite since Mitsu doesn't have oversized bearings.

Try to get them to put in a new one or split the cost with them on a new forged crank. As I recall the reconditioned crank was $400 plus nitriding, another $110 plus sleeves, maybe $30 more. My cost on a new crank from Mitsu [ my son-in-law gets me a cost plus part] was about $650 --- I think.

Thanks for your help, everyone.  After testing and changing out the entire
ignition system and battery, testing and changing a good deal of electrical
wiring, Alamo finally found the culprit of the ignition problem.  Apparently
it was a ground wire in the car's wiring harness, underneath the air filter.
Starts like a champ now.  I'll keep you all updated when the car's finally
done with the AEM now!

OK Chris, I'll bite. Since there is no grounding location under the air filter (unless you mean the one on the transaxle), what was really wrong with your car? :)

It sounds like he meant there was a grounding problem concerning the wiring harness that runs underneath the air filter.  That wiring harness then runs every which direction throughout the bay.  The grounding point could have been anywhere that wiring runs.

I bought a y-pipe clamp from somebody here last year.
Alas, my confuser crashed, and I lost his address.

Who was that masked man?
Some of my local Stealth buddies saw the clamp installed and they want one.

Got a set of scuzzy old 94 chromies with the chrome crinkling? How much? I need 'em for race wheels.

If it was a kit that included a steel ring, 2 clamps and some silicon tubing, that would be me. We sell the kit for $18 including shipping.

I've got one lying around that I ordered but never used.  I'd sell it for $15 shipped...

My first message bounced (sorry Admins, thought I had stupid email set on the correct format).  Before any other possible buyers waste their time........

The AVCR is sold and was shipped on Friday (that was damn fast) to a fellow list member.  Thanks for all the replies, also if its new owner has any questions how to set it or what not do a search on 3SI.org for posts by Ghost271 (that's me on the boards)

I put out very detailed instructions and if those don't help just contact me directly.

Subject: Team3S: Changing Wheel Size and More

I have a 93 ES with the original 16 inch wheels and
wonder if 17 inch wheels will work with low profile
tires?

Also, I was just told that fuel injector cleaner could
be useful.  On some of my other cars the manuals say
not to use a cleaner.  Is there one good and safe
brand for the Stealth?  I hear from a number of
mechanics that an additive ZMAX from Oil Chem Research
Corp is great stuff for the engine.  The company also
gives a warranty guarantee on the engine if the motor
fails while using this additive.  This guarantee
covers the repair of all kinds of engine and fuel
parts, including the turbocharger and fuel injection
components up to 150,000 miles on these parts. Is this
too good to be true?
