On my rebuild, I replaced my oil filter bracket.  It is not as expensive as it looks.  Under $40 if I recall.  Helicoil repair kits are pretty expensive...~$15-$20.

Good luck,
Ken

Another one bites the dust!  I got in an accident that wasn't my fault.  I put the details of my accident as well as some before and after pictures up on my website for anyone who likes looking at crashed cars.

It's been a pleasure being on your list for a little over a year, I don't know if I'll be getting another 3/S car in the future, but will stay on the list for a couple more months and just be a lurker.

Thanks though for all the help from other owners on this list.

My '97 VR4 had the same problem, switch breaks and gets "cock-eyed" either wiper stays on or does not come on at all. Mitsu charged me about $20 for the switch. Install only takes about 5 minutes, however my dealer said he had plenty of 'em in stock because obviously, the switch manufacturer in my opinion cannot make a decent, quality switch. Hell, my kitchen blender switch lasted longer. Mike

On this line, If you bend the frame, it is totaled. Why?
I thought you could always fix it and totaled means that it costs more to fix than to buy another.

Keep in mind it was a 91 base model stealth with 125k miles on it and on it's second tranny.  I would love to have it back just like it was before the wreck, but when you get frame damage and a collision to this degree even if they spent a lot of $$$ on it, it would still never drive right(alignment, steering, and safety).  I only paid $2,800 for the car a little over a year ago...

Does anyone know how insurance claims work?  Like all of my medical bills are being paid for by "Access" (Arizona State insurance).  But the other lady that caused the accident only had $30,000 liability.  I've had other people in my family tell me they've known people with less injuries get upwards of $2-$500,000 settlement checks.  Where does this money come from if the other person's insurance coverage is only $30k???

I hope my lawyer will be able to get as much as possible and hopefully more than $30k.  If anyone knows how all this works please feel free to email me back privately.

Thanks,
- -Erik

Subject: Team3S: Team 3S: Need affordable window parts for my stealth

Hey everyone,
This is my first post on the list, so first of all hi to everyone.  I have a 92 Dodge Stealth ES, in need of some new parts, but overall I really like it.  About 8 months ago, my driver's side window croaked. Actually, the top part of the regulator broke because the cables in the motor got tangled. So, they both were ruined. I proceeded to tie the window up as best I could. Due to the fact that it's such a heavy window, it sags down(yes, my seat gets wet every time it rains, snows, etc.). I contacted my local Dodge Dealer and they wanted $230 just for the regulator.  Quite frankly, I don't have $230 extra dollars to replace that, much less the motor. Can anyone help me out with this one? Good to be on the list!

Nick

Ha!  Talk to Erik Petterson.  Looks like his door assemblies weren't damaged, maybe he can part it out to you...

Sorry but my drivers side power window motor and regulator had already been broken before the accident.  I had a 18" yard stick holding up my window! Passenger's side works, but don't think that will help.

I don't plan on parting it out, since I don't have a place to put it while stripping parts from it nor could I even start for a couple months on it. So please don't start asking me for parts.

I do have a few things that were off of it before the wreck though.

The drivers side door inside cover panel.
The rear hatch plastic cover panel.
Stock airfilter box assembly.
and probably a few other parts and pieces in the garage.

I also have a set of indiglo gauges that I will be putting up on ebay here soon.  They were the NR Auto ones (blue / green indiglo colors)

M&S(1-800-695-4700) had the parts for me to fix my window.... I just never got around to ordering them.  I think it was like $100 for the motor and like $45 for the regulator, but I could be remembering wrong???

I recently did a complete re-build of a 94 3000gt . The engine ran great until the crank position sensor failed. I changed the sensor . now the engine runs real rough until it reaches 3000 RPM at that point it smoothes out and runs good.

Thanks , Elbert

After rebuilding a 300gt engine I am having problems getting the idle straightened out. It runs real rough , Like spark plug wires might be off but they are not. However at around 3000 RPM it smooth out and runs good . Any ideas ?

Thanks, Elbert
