Subject: Team3S: Looking for Timing Idler Pulley in NC

List,
I am attempting to put a timing belt in my 1991 VR4 over the holidays
(it skipped a tooth on the last day before vacation).  Does anyone
happen to live in Eastern North Carolina AND have access to a new idler
pulley (MD319022)?  I have one on order, but would gladly buy someone's
spare, or borrow it and replace it with mine when it arrives, or ?

Thanks and regards,
Michael Pliska

Casey,

I think your silver was specific to Mitsubishi in 1992 only.

I suspect it was exterior paint code HA4 (aka H84) whose official
Mitsu name I'm not sure of. It MAY have been "Tinted Silver Metallic".
Edmunds seems to think it was "Ascot Silver Metallic" but I think some
of their color names are wrong and I've never heard of such a 3/S color.

294 of the 4,947 VR-4's made for 1992 were this color; about 6 %.

Looks nice; the silver blends in with the sky. Less visibility
can mean fewer tickets too...

Subject: Team3S: Racing seats + stock seatbelt?

I'm considering getting a pair of Corbeau Carrera seats for my car, but I'm
left wondering if I'm required to get a race harness at the same time.  I
can't see any way to retain the stock seatbelt system.  I've got no problems
buying a race belt system, but I wanted to possibly get a roll bar first.

Speaking of race harnesses, how does one mount the belts without a rollbar?
Does it just get bolted to some point on the chassis?  I'm not familiar
enough with belt lengths and mounting requirements to picture this in my
head.  If anyone has any information, or better yet, pictures of an install,
I'd love to see it.  Thanks.

Happy Holidays
