Yes there is. I don't remember your entire story, but as you are
finding out, the tactic of just replacing items to see if that fixes
a problem often does not lead to success.

1) If you do not already have one, buy a factory service manual and
use it. It has a diagnostic section in it to get you started. There
are other manuals also that are not easily acquired. I happen to have
a few of these but your local Chrysler/Dodge or Mitsubishi dealer may
be able to let you look at their copies (they should be in great
shape as many do not know how to use them!). Here is one:

Chrysler Corporation, 1991, 1991 Powertrain Diagnostic Procedures for
Dodge Stealth - 3.0L SOHC/DOHC/DOHC Turbo Electronic Fuel Injection:
Part number 81-699-0178, 311 p. This manuals goes into step-by-step
detail on how to test every component that makes the engine run.

2) You will have to think about how a car works and then identify
parts and processes related to your problems. There are several good
generic automobile books out there to help. And of course there is
this list and 3SI.

3) Test the devices and processes related to your problem. For
example, the manual shows how to test the MAS for proper functioning.
Test the device first before replacing it (unless it is very
convenient and cheap to replace). The service manual shows you where
the CAS is and how to test it.

4) Be patient. Be methodical. And, if possible, have fun.

5) Document the solution. Then write a description of the problem,
diagnostic procedures, and the solution. Submit this to Team3S, 3SI,
or even myself so that others will be helped by your efforts.

This happened several months ago and the car has been sitting as I have just
returned from overseas playing with Suddam in the desert all summer. I went
out to start the car one morning and it started up and then a little smoke
started coming out just to the right of the speed/tach assy. I then shut the
car off and now it'll turn over but no fire. The A/C console still comes on
and do the idiot lights on the dash. I have the dash apart but don't see
anything obvious yet. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Sorry, but if they have a purple top they are not 720cc. They have the
light blue top. You have smaller injectors.

Just a short plug for Rob and RPS. I recently received my replacement clutch
from them, no questions asked. Nothing but great customer service/customer
satisfaction IMHO.

My previous RPS product had been a garage ornament awaiting installation
based upon Team feedback. When their latest product came out, feedback on my
clutch did not materialize, based upon a move by consumers to their newest
RPS design.  Upon query on the older design  RPS said to simply send it
back, and gave me this latest product,  upon which good feedback is
occurring. Accompanying was note saying to please contact them if any
questions arose during installation  and  they  would be happy to advise
upon them. Say what you want, that is aiming to please your customer with a
product you are proud of.

Hi team for all of you that don't know what i've checked.  I pretty much
checked a lot of the main things that need to happen in order for the engine
to work. I have gas, spark and compression.  I also hooked a scanner and i
got a code 13 and 25.  Baromatric pressure sensor, and air temp sensor, both
in the Mass airflow Housing, so i went ahead and replaced it, but no luck.  I
heard from a lot of people that it could be the Crank Angle Sensor, so am on
a hunt for a cheap one, since they are like $450.  Well i hope i get more
information from you guys, so far i've gotten a lot, and hopefully i will be
able to fix the problem soon. I don't have much money so i can really afford
to be buying manuals and such.  Any info i get from here is my bible when it
comes to what i check on the car. Thanks again.
Christian.

What's new in the new design?  I need a clutch again and would consider a
successfully-designed RPS clutch if it'll hold more than the ACT.

Why does it seem that most are stuck on RPS and the rest ACT, Centerforce or
stock.

There are many other companys that make clutches for our cars.

www.ramclutches.com
www.clutchnet.com
www.clutchmasters.com
www.browardclutch.com

Just to name a few...

I'm thinking of going with the "Fiber-Kevlar-Carbon" or the "6 Button "E-Z
Lok" Racing Clutch Disc" from Clutchnet
http://www.clutchnet.com/make/prodDesc.html

Does anybody have experience with them?

I talked with them and they said that they could resurface my ACT HD
pressure plate for $75...better than the $300 replacement cost since I only
had it in for 2 months.

me now? Thanks

I recently purchased new wheels and need to sell my stock wheels.  The links
below show the tread on the tires and close up pictures of each of the four
wheels.  If you are interested, you can reply off the list.  If the links
don't work of the email, you may have to cut and past the URL into your
browser.  I'm in Southern Cal but can ship them.  I'm looking for around
$450 for the set.

It sounds like you cannot afford to NOT have a manual. For the grand
total of $35 ($33 using PayPal) you can get more information than you
need on CD ROM from Vinny Singh.

Hi Matt;

New? A new look that's for sure. My previous RPS Turbo Carbon was more or
less circular ( a recent personal response to my last posting said they had
had very good performance with it). This new baby on the other hand has a 6
finger  look,  alternating with different puck material ever other puck.
And, the pressure plate is huge!. I doubt there will be any slipping. It's a
mean looking sucker, so much so that  maybe I'll  put it on the coffee table
for a house ornament for awhile ;-)

Best

Darc
