What does "SOON" mean?  I think people who have purchased the hood deserve
to know a date.  A slight "Hiccup" is a VAST understatement.  They have been
promised for MONTHS now.  I do not want to cause a flame war, and that is
not the reason for this email.  I want to know when they are going to be
out.  Dynamic Racing has told me, they also can not get a response from
Brian.  So, all the places selling the hoods for GT Pro, now look bad cause
they can not tell their customers anything due to GT Pro not telling them
anything.  I have always been behind Brian and GT Pro but at some point it
becomes ridiculous and absurd.  Sorry if anyone is offended, but a bit
frustrated.

That's ok, we all have bad days.  No hurt feelings, just trying to help
everyone who has purchased a hood out.  I *believe* everyone who has
purchased merely wants GT Pro to tell of any problems and update the release
date.  Most people are upset do to getting the information from other
sources then GT Pro and no one knows who to believe.  I certainly can
understand that when building something from scratch there will be problems
and a GLAD GT Pro is taking the time to make sure the hood is 100%.  I would
just like to be kept informed.

Lets also understand its not a GTpro hood as much as its not a Thirdcoast
hood..etc..etc.

Its another 3rd party.

There's a company in the UK that do a universal traction control system.
I had their email address and a review in a magazine on 2 cars that was very
positive.
Unfortunately I've also had about 3 pc's in various states since then and
don't
have the web address. The magazine was one of the silly tuning ones like Max
Power or some rubbish. I only bought it for the article on the traction
control
as I had a Japanese import MR2 Turbo at the time and was interested in
anything
that would help me in the wet.

I'll do a search and see if I can find anything.

I think you might be able to get a little money out of it, I guess it comes
down to if you can find enough people to buy enough parts. If all you want
is the tranny, from what I hear $2800 is a heck of a deal for a
transmission. If it comes with charcoal interior, I will definitely buy
some of the interior parts from you.
Let us know what you decide.
Later,

Group,

I had a problem with my starter a while back...Clutch fully pressed in, turn key and sometimes it would start, sometimes it wouldn't.  If I rolled the car a little it often would start right up afterwards.  I grew tired and frustrated w/ that quickly so I replaced the starter about 5-6  months ago.  Well, the problem is back.  I was stuck in a parking lot yesterday for over an hour tinkering w/ that frickin' thing...Finally, it started.  I go out this morning and it starts right up.  And w/ my luck when I take it to the shop it'll have no problems starting.

I think it might be an electrical problem as opposed to the starter...(relay switch or something).  Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas?

I guess the first question is, does the starter motor engage when you turn
the key?  Regardless if the car starts or not, does the starter motor crank?
If it does, you might want to check your ring gear.  Pull the starter and
the flywheel inspection plate off and check out the condition of the teeth
on the ring gear.  Turn the engine over a few times by hand to check the
whole flywheel/ring gear.  Good luck.

Subject: Team3S: Power seat problem

The power seat controller on my 92 Stealth TT won't work any longer. As far
as I can tell, the power windows etc are on the same circuit and no fuse is
blown. The side wings on the seat that are controlled by the console
mounted switch also still work but none of the controls that are mounted on
the left side of the seat are operational. I am assuming a bad switch or a
loose connection under the seat. How do you get at the electrical controls
for this. You cannot reach under the seat and without controls to move the
seat forward and back I can't readily see how the seat comes out.

Subject: Team3S: Driver's seat in passenger side?

Since I will be installing a race seat in my driver's seat position I was
wondering how wide the stock driver's seat is from a VR-4 and if it will fit
where the passenger seat does or if the mounting points are all in the same
place.

I don't mind switching except that all the controls (forward/backward, tilt,
memory, etc.) are going to be on the inside (left-side) and won't allow a
hand down there to adjust anything.  Would it be possible to weld/fix
brackets onto the slider rails that will offset the seat a little to the
right and allow someone's hand down the left side to reach the controls?

My real goal was to get a driver's seat from a right-hand drive car (UK,
Australia/New Zealand, etc.) but I imagine these are expensive.  I think
I'll do a trial fit this weekend and see how difficult it would be.
