I do not
know the specific seat you are talking about. But, imo, Corbeau
seats in
general are not of the best quality when it comes to fit... at
least for me.
I had a Corbeau seat in my race car when I purchased it. I
took it out in
favour of something that fit me better. I went with a Corbra
Imola.
www.subesports.com carries Cobra. The Imola
is a carbon composite
seat for less than most fiberglass seats. For my
Stealth, I chose a Sparco
Rev fiberglass seat.
Fitment troubles for
the Stealth....
As far as seat mounting brackets, are you referring to slider
assemblies?
The stock slider is an integral part of the stock seat so if you
want to
retain the sliding mechanism, you have to do a lot of work to remove
the
stock sliders and find a way to adapt them to your seat. Or see if
sliders
are available for our cars. I went the hard way and modified the
stock
sliders.... what a pain! I wouldn't recommend that! Now the troubles.
After
I had the Sparco seat installed. I sat in the car and noticed that my
head
was real close to the roof! I lowered the seat all the way and the
clearance
was adequate but not if I had a helmet on! With a helmet, I had
only about
two inches. This isn't enough as most sanctioning bodies want a
few inches
from the top of your head to the bottom of the roll bar top hoop!
I got into
a 3/S with a stock seat and noticed that the lowering mechanism
allows the
seat to go BELOW the slider mechanism! I got in a 3/S with a
Sparco seat and
Sparco sliders and noted the same clearance problem as in my
car! And I'm
only 5'9"! So I am going to mount my seat without sliders!
Bummer!

Team3S: Non-starting problem?
Recently I have encountered a new
problem. When I put the key in the
ignition, I get the familiar beep
but none of the gauges move nor do I hear
the click of any relays. The
headlights, interior lights work like normal,
(I have power from the battery)
but nothing else. I am curious is there a
main power relay? That
must trip before sending power to any of the
engine/ECU
components?

Team3S: Steering Wheel Vibration
I just started getting a vibration
through the steering wheel whenever I
turn the wheel. It's more
pronounced when I turn to the right, and less
so to the left. I checked
what suspension components (ball joints,
bushings, etc) I could with the
wheel off. Everything looked ok to my
somewhat untrained eye, the wheel
bearings still feel tight, and my
fluid is ok. Am I just missing
something (very possible) or is there
something else I need to check.

if any one is interested. They have
255/40-17 Goodrich Comp T/A R1
tires on them - two of which are corded, but
the other two have some
tread left on them. If for some reason you want
the tires I'll leave
them on. I may end up putting them on eBay, but I
wanted to ask the

Sounds like a possibility would be the
ignition switch to me.

Boris,
Which ERL
Aquamist WI system is it? 1s or 2s?
Roger Gerl is right.
Never believe quite everything a salesman is telling
you. He bent the
truth both on the technical aspect and on the price.
Roger gave you the
corrent technical story. The correct retail prices are
listed below
(neither one is $600, unless he was reffering to the 2s
system....and then I
would have to appologise).
I went to the ERL website and these are the
prices I got from them.
http://www.aquamist.co.uk/Retail
Prices from the above website. I converted the British pounds to USD
@
the current exchange rate.
307.80 British lbs. = $446.50 USD (PN: 806
002) WI system1s complete kit
(race pump)
556.20 British lbs. = $809.05
USD (PN: 806 005) WI system2s complete kit
(race pump)
I want to buy
the 2s WI system, so, if it is $391, then I will make an extra
effort to get
it now, otherwise I will wait some more.
