My 92-96 service manual shows the cig lighter is Junction Block
multi-purpose fuse #5 (not #1 which is for the seat belt, active
aero, and MFI relay - hmmm, a good one to take out to deter theft
along with #19 for the ECU) for all years. It also mentions a thermal
fuse associated with the lighter. Maybe this has broken? The manual
also shows the accessory socket and wipers are related through J/B
fuse #10 (not #8 which is empty, except in my car when I have the TMO
plugged in). Pages 22 and 54-119 to 54-123 in the 92-96 manual. Are
we talking about the same fuses and car parts?

J/B fuse #1 is upper left and fuse #19 is lower right.

Thanks, Kevin.  I was about to find this in the CD Manual.

I have checked the #1 (Cigarette lighter) and #8 (Wipers) fuse and
they are both good.  That means there is a short along the way
usually.

Also, what fuse takes care of the power outlet or is this run by the
cigarette lighter?

Hmmm, "consumer affairs web site". Are you referring to TS's
*personal* web page?

I have done business with Brian LaFuente since 1997 (which includes
the GT ALLEY days) and have always found him knowledgeable, honest,
and trustworthy. As far as prices, I try to follow the old Chinese
proverb "Only fool pay full price". I found Brian willing to work
with me over prices. At least he puts prices up on his web site. Some
other 3S specialty shops don't even bother doing that. I recommend
giving GT PRO a try for shop work. But you may be able to find
cheaper prices on parts and accessories elsewhere. I list all the
shops that specialize in our cars plus dozens of general and
specialty vendors on the HUGE Links Page at my web site.

To all those in Southern California...

I'm looking for race/performance tuning shops here in southern
california that work on our cars and are reliable.  I checked out
GT-Pro since they're practically in my back yard but I've heard some
very mixed things about them.  I even found several complaints about
them on a consumer affairs web site about them ripping people off.
When I checked out their web site their prices seemed rather high as
well (compared to that of Altered Atmosphere, which is nowhere near
me).  Unfortunately, they're the only one I know of.  Does anyone
else know of any other shops that work on our cars in so. cal?  TIA.

No, you don't need to buy a scan tool.

Got a voltmeter?

With your '93 you can read the trouble code using a voltmeter connected to
two pins on the diagnostic connector.  Check the service manual for pins and
codes.

If you're talking about the 6 CD changer and the stock stereo, we did it
with my son's '93 VR4, which had a wiring harness leading back to the
changer location already.  My '93 VR4 with the stock stereo does not seem to
have the wiring harness, as far as I can tell.  I have no clue whether the
base GT stereo can control the six cd changer.

From memory, I think there were just under 1,000 3000GT (TT's only) sold in

I recently heard of some discounts at Primm Motorsports.  The public site is
at www.primmracing.com <http://www.primmracing.com>  but I am having one of
their reps send an email to our list with a link to another page with a good
amount of discounts on seats, driving gloves, pedals, etc.

Look for an email shortly or email me privately for the details.

Here is the post from Dante at Primm Motorsports.  Use the login and
password below to gain access to the Team 3/S discount page and then
continue from there and let them know if you have any questions.

There might not be specific 3/S-related parts (SS braided brake lines, etc.)
but the general items of seats, gloves, harnesses, etc. are available.  Some
are bundled discounts so you will need to buy two seats to get the discount.
This should not be hard with the group buys our list already does or buy two
and sell one to another list member.

Let me know if you have any problems accessing the site or Dante at Primm
Motorsports, info@primmracing.com <mailto:info@primmracing.com> , for any
other questions or concerns.

This is somewhat related to the Primm Motorsports thread.  What companies
offer seat mounting brackets for our cars?  I've heard in the past that they
are difficult to come by.  I'm specifically interested in Corbeau Carrera
seats.  Has anyone used these seats and if so, what were your experiences
with them?  Thanks.

I've never used them, but here's where to get the seats:

And the brackets for the 3kGT:

Same bracket numbers for the Stealth, of course...

Hello Everyone -

I have a question concerning the Blitz Dual Turbo Timer. The turbo timer
that i just picked up has seven wires and a hose coming out the back of it.
The problem is that I don't know how to hook this up since the wires are not
labeled and I have no english instructions. Please help! Also the hose that
is coming out of the back I am assuming is to be spliced into the boost
hose. Any ideas of where that is located?
