Have the damn defroster

The most likely cause is a burned out lamp. Does the
suspension seem to
change softer in tour and harder in sport? If the
shocks seem to be
functioning correctly then the lamp would be the #1
suspect. If there's no
difference in feel when switching modes then you
need to go through the ECS
troubleshooting section in the service
manual.

Sorry
to hear your bad news, Chris... But it's hard to give an opinion
when
we know so little about your circumstances:
How little insurance? ($500
deductible, $1000 deductible, etc...?)
What did the insurance company
say?
What did the cops say?
This is a singular issue (rather than one
for the list), so please reply
privately, and I'll give you what little
advice I can offer. Only you
can decide what *can* be
done...
Best,
Forrest

Team3S: Warranty coverage
I recently purchased the "cover all" warranty
for my 1995 VR-4 (50k miles).
There are a few warranty companies out there
who cover the non-twin turbo
models of the Stealth, 3000GT, Supra, etc. but
not many cover the big bad
boys.
Here is a company who does so if you
are looking for warranty coverage then
look no further. I am not
affiliated with this company but after seeing how
hard it was to find a
company who covered the twin turbo models. I also
heeded the warnings
of everyone on the list to "not go a single day without
a warranty on the
tranny" (since those are so expensive to fix) and decided
to get the
"anything that breaks gets fixed" coverage.

my car as well as use it for my daily driver so I
can't go a day with it

I will give a brief
breakdown below. Feel free to contact the company or
myself (offline
please) for more specific information.
The VR-4/RT TT is in column "G" on
the sheet and for one year the coverage
costs are below. I think these
are with $100 deductible so if you go with a
$200 deductible the rates are a
bit cheaper. They have coverage up to 3
years/36k miles for all
cars. If your car is under 50k then you can get up
to 4 years/48k miles
of coverage.
Powertrain is $980
Standard is $1,202

$1,159
Deluxe is $1,509

Team3S: Upgraded Value
Hello All,
I have a 94 3000GT SL and VR4.. My SL has a Borla Cat-Back system
that
I realize now that I cant move over to the VR4, so I guess Im going to
have
to bite the bullett and buy a whole new TT system.. I have a
buyer for my
SL as I really dont need 2 3000's although it is nice.. My
problem is I
think I might be selling the SL too cheap and I need some
input.. My SL has
91,000 miles, The Borla system, and everything else
that was an option on
the 3000 GT SL in 1994.. I agreed to sell the car
for $ 9,500.00 w/o the
exhaust system, however I did not save the stock
system and I am pretty much
forced to sell the car w/Borla included.. Unless
I search for a stock system
to put back on and sell the Borla system
seperately.. This seems a bit
tedious.. So, Is $9,500 way to cheap with the
Borla system included or
should I be happy selling my SL for $9,500 with the
Borla... Any advice
would be greatly appreciated..

Hate to tell you, but (imho) seldom do you
ever get the price/value of
modifications you put in when you sell. I
think if you're getting $9.5K for
a '93 SL with 91K miles, you are doing
quite well. You say you can't use
the Borla cat back onthe VR4, so it
is of no value to you, except perhaps to
make the SL more attractive to a
buyer. Enjoy your VR4!

Team3S: Upgraded Value
Hey, Scott,
If you look at the 3/S values
on our Price page (
www.Team3S.com/FAQ.htm, under
'Basics'), your SL is listed at $14,771 retail, $10,630
wholesale.
That's what a dealer will sell/buy a '94 with approximately
10k miles/year,
or 60k on it. Yours has a 30k more than that, and the
prices on our
page are as of Aug 1, so adjust your numbers somewhat
lower-- Let's
call it $13k (R) and $9k (W) . Since you say the car is
in good shape,
your selling price should be closer to the middle of
those figures, or $11k,
IMO... Check similar available cars in your
area on
www.autotrader.com , and you'll have a
better "real world" idea
of how much you can get for
it.
Best,
Forrest
