Subject: RE: Team3S: 275/40R17 on stock rims?

Hi all,

Yes, my autocross tires, Yokohama 008RSII, were
mounted on my stock rims and did not rub except a
little on the fronts in the inner rubber/plastic liner
on the engine side when I turned hard.

Please understand these tires are for autocross where
speeds in the parking lot site rarely gets above 50
MPH and for only a few seconds.  Ya can't put but
about 1/4 mile on the tire for each of 3 runs or maybe
a total of 3 miles for the whole autox day.

My suspension is stock (not lowered) and there's  not
much of my interior left.  Well, a lot more than Jeff
Mohler, but less than most.

I wouldn't run 275's for road courses.  On road
courses I run the Yokohama 032  255x40x17.

Be of good cheer,
John

Boris;

Check out Bob Fontana's web site...he has some good information on
installing and setting up a VPC.  Remember...it will just be a starting
point and you may have to make additional adjustments from there.

Hi everyone,

Does anybody know what the best setting on an HKS VPC would be for our
cars?  Or, at least a good starting point?  I've turned down the gain
one short of being minimum and I'm still running kind of rich.  Every
now and then my check engine light turns on and it never happened until
upgraded my injectors and installed the VPC.  I know that this is one of
the symptoms you get when you run rich.  I then tried turning it to the
lowest setting, but then the car ran too lean and it stalled on me.  If
anyone could give me a good suggestion it would be greatly appreciated.
My current engine modifications are:

HKS VPC
HKS Super Mega Flow Air Intake
HKS Upgraded fuel pump
Greddy 550cc fuel injectors
Greddy Air Fuel Ratio Meter
Greddy Turbo Timer
Greddy EGT Meters (2)
15G turbos
Blitz SS BOV
Blitz Dual SBC
NGK platinum plugs (gapped .032")
Magnecore 8.5mm spark plug wires

Does anyone know where the dials sould be given these mods?  Or, what I
might need to do?  I'm hoping someone has some idea of what I should do.

Thanks,

Boris

Subject: Team3S: Amplifier Install..where?

I'm working on installing a new Kicker amplifier into my friends '94 base
3000GT.  We were wondering how to run the power cable(4 gauge).  He has a
security system installed, and they drilled through the firewall and
installed a grammet.  Can we go through that hole?  Or do we need to drill
another and put in a new grammet?  Any other ideas?  Thanks in advance for
the help.
