+Merritt,  I have been doing a little research as a future project on the
brakes.  The info I have on fluid is that stock is a dot 3  by increasing to
a dot 4/5 you get about 27 deg. cent. additional boiling point.  The race
guys use synthetic, but apparently it will not work with ABS systems. So to
get a real race breaking system in our cars  we would need to  get rid of
the ABS.

Bob

Interested in anything you find out.

The T/T MAS is karman-vortex device, using ultrasonic waves to measure air
speed.
the output is frequency... Seems like a doughterboard is the only solution.

Are you sure MAS is not a bottleneck?
Then why people bother with VPC?
does anyone have experience what is the HP ceiling with stock MAS?

The one thing I like about Dodge Vipers.... ABS is _not_ standard...

Does anyone have some baseline setups for the ARC and 550cc injectors?  I got spring fever yesterday and pulled the Spyder out of storage and I have a couple boxfulls of parts (ARC2 setup, injectors and 15G's) to bolt on one of these days.  Where should I start with settings on the ARC2, close to stock and lean the low end as necessary from there?

Does anyone know what the part # is for the stock spark plug wires for
a 92 Dodge Stealth ES (DOHC, non-turbo) is ?  OR what the stock # is
for a base Mitus 3000GT (through 96) I believe or any 3000GT SL ?

Who is the OEM for spark plug wires on our car, Mitsu (or Dodge) or NGK ?

Car parts lists two different sets of plug wires and doesn't really
differentiate between the two.  Is it the difference between turbo
and non-trubro, or is it the difference between SOHC and DOHC.
I have the DOHC.

NGK spark plug wires                                            #ME78                   $86.96
NGK spark plug wires                                            #9176                   $86.96

Subject: Team3S: Timing Belt Change Cost

Had to arrange for the "60K timing belt change" for a friend, so here goes...
Parts cost:
timing belt 145.55;  AC belt 27.70;  Pwr steering belt 14.20;  Waterpump 98.17;
Timing belt tensioner 27.27;  Idler pulley 26.20;
Total  $339.09    minus 25% discount (it's good to be the king :)  = $254.32
(add your own taxes)  (I think I covered all...)

Dealership Labor cost:
5.5 hours @ $68/hour = $374
Total:  $628.32

"On the Side" Mitsu dealer worker will do job labor for $225, so:
Total:  $479.32  (plus tax on the parts)

This does NOT include spark plugs/wires etc, as my friend had new plugs/wires
changed already.

Actually both of those part numbers will work.  CarParts list both of them
for some reason, but you got the right NGK numbers.  The DOHC engine and
DOHC turbo engine take the same plug wires.  The SOHC engine is different,
and I think the SOHC uses a distributer??

You can go to my CarParts page at: http://www.mn3s.org/car-parts.html for
some good discount links and a list of 3/S parts.

Not sure... if this part #3019 is a special adapter to make the DSM BPV work for a
2nd gen TT (no one answered my query above, so I still am not sure that it will work
without 6-speed interference), then is this a standard Mitsu part that these dealers
will carry or something special that Buschur fabricated?  I understand it's easy to
make a custom adapter for less than $45, but I don't have time to mess with it and
need what I order to be plug and play.

FWIW..Ive been a Redline user for over 5 years on all of my Supra turbos, both
of our 3S cars (TTs as well), my parents/sister have been using it for ever as
well.  In all fluids exc. power steering..i just flush that once a year anyway.

BUT..even at 165k on my supra I had almost perfectly clear oil at the 5K mile
change..even while on NOS.

The base synthetic is what makes a good synthetic, and theyre not all created
equal.
