***This is the NEW Team3S list. See message end for more info.***

I was having the potential strut problems with my 94  3000gt SL where the
car
seemed to be bottoming out (at 66,000 miles):   I believe this may be strut
related
and not something loose up in the front end (I put it on the rack a couple
of days
ago and wiggled the steering linkage but didn't find anything loose, and I
loosened and retightened the lug nuts to 90 ft-lbs):  the symptoms are like
there
is no cushioning  in the front like you might expect on a subzero
temperature
day before your car's steering/suspension linkage gets warmed/lubed up from
moving.   BUT, when I pushed in the ECS button while it was still cold, it
seemed
to not be noticeable, but maybe that was just because the whole suspension
as
a whole is stiffer in Sport mode?   Maybe I need to drive one of these cars
with
the ECS in and off to see if the symptoms are the same as mine.   Anyone in
Houston want to go for a ride?

Bob

Well, neat but, to be honest the GT PRO y-pipe is much better. Great
aluminum, perfect done and even the same price as AAM. As Shania Twain says
: That don't impresses me much.

No offense here ... did you see Mike's ? I don't remember seen any pics or
even detailed comparisions (transition, diameter etc ...) to be able to tell
which one is better ... also I believe Mike did something about the 90 bend
to a smoother one didn't you Mike ? heheh ... I'll extrude hone mine ...

All this talk of new Y-pipes has me wondering. Is anybody going to step up
and fabricate a smooth intake for the NA cars? What about a pipe that will
allow the K&N to hang down in the intercooler spot in the front bumper. Any
takers on a project like that? If so, and you are close to central Fl. I'd
be willing to let my car be the model for such a project.

To be honest Roger I am a little confused by your comment.  You say the
GT Pro one is better, why?  You are always displaying cold hard numbers
to the list to back up your statements but I see none this time.  I see
not much difference between GT Pro's and Alamo's where as Mike at AAM has
developed something new and different.  Show me some facts if you want to
have someone believe your statement AND before you belittle another
persons product.
AAM works damn hard on developing fast 3000GT's/Stealth's and they have
actually run the times to prove it where as Brian's customers are
"gentlemen racers and don't go to the track" or maybe just can't run the
times because the GT Pro y-pipe isn't as good.
