Subject: Team3S: engine rebuild or new for mitsubishi

I am looking to get my engine rebuilt or maybe a new short block. Does
anyone have any ideas as to where I might go in the Baltimore/
Washington area and how much it should cost? Would it be better to get a
short or long block from
Mitsubishi?

Sent this to Bob Forrest, and figured it'd be good for the list also...

stuff)

Subject: Team3S: engine blocks

Hello All,

Can anyone tell me what year they switched from 2 to 4 bolt blocks?
I ordered a new(er) motor for my car '94 VR-4. They told me it would be
a '94, but what arrived is a '92.
Other than the accessories on the front (oil pump), engine mounts, and
knock sensor. Are there any things I should be aware of?

Thanks
Todd

Subject: Team3S: Admin: List glitch resolved...

To all:

After working with the ISP for most of the morning, I'm happy to
report that they have finally fixed our Team3S list.  It's hard to
tell how long the servers will take to catch up, but it shouldn't be
too long.  But it's the holidays, so the list traffic will be very
light anyway.

Majordomo commands are also working again, after being down since
Friday.  You will once again be able to access the archives.

This ISP has been disappointing of late, so after the first of the
year, we will be moving the list to another ISP with an even faster
(and more reliable) server, and many more features.  We will keep
you informed.

Best wishes for the holidays, and a terrific New Year!

Anybody ever try Enkei RP01 rims?

I'm considering buying some 17" rims for my '91 VR4. The spokes are so thin,
though - I'm wondering if they would be out-of-round after a year or so.

Anybody know how they are made? (forged, gravity cast)

Anybody know if a 17"x8" RP01 will fit over stock brake calipers with 45mm
offset?

Thanks for any info!
