For what it's
worth, My A/F gauge shows very rich until I get to
about 18psi, then comes
down slightly. At 19 psi it is showing an A/F ratio
closer to Stoich,
but this is at maybe 5k RPM. I can't hold these boost
levels for very
long due to my tiny 9B turbo's, but I would imagine that at
the redline the
fuel system can keep the mixture from leaning out up to
about
16.5-17psi. Beyond that, I think it's going to start getting
lean.

One thing I haven't seen anybody mention

shops every time I've had an alignment
done that didn't seem aligned. They
always say "well, your tires have probably
worn a groove due to the previous
mis-alignment. The only way to correct this
is to replace the tires".
I used to think this was just a way to get people to

one day I did it. With fresh tires the pulling stopped and
the alignment was
perfect. So, I don't know for sure, but maybe ther's some
validity to
this.
As far as the shaking, sounds like they either missed a wheel, or
you threw a
weight (if it wasn't already doing this before they got hold of
it). I've had
this happen before, once as I was driving off the shop's

First off, I
would like to congratulate and thank Nav for a job well
done! The time
and money that he put forth for planning and prizes is
very much
appreciated.
So where do I start? Ahhh. Friday was fun!
Me and my cousin met up
with Dan and Amit around 8:30PM or so at
Knuckles. We had a couple of
beers, watched the Giants game, and
BS'd until Nav and others showed up
a couple of hours later (can anyone say
cartwheels?? hehehe). Next, a
trip to Denny's Restaurant
for....... A BEER? It was just 1:00AM, I
had already eaten and
ordered a beer. Instead, out came an excuse for a
steak w/fries!!!!
HEHEHE I think 1/2 of the orders were wrong, 1/2 were
late, and well
1/2 or more was on the house... What a laugh! On the
way back to
our hotels that night, Monica, Amit, and I were having some
fun on the
highway when from out of nowhere a CHP flew by. Needless to
say,
we were out of there and luckily nobody got into trouble.
Saturday was
great! I finally got to meet the rest of you all at the
park.
Courtney's (SP?) car is just immaculate! What a beautiful
ride...
I've never even seen a 98-99 VR4 before let alone sitting in
Amits
beauty. Nice ride! Kudos to Ben for making the trip on a
bum
tras. Several awesome stereos were bumping all day (you should have
seen
all the park-goers stare over all day!) Saturday night was
interesting
to say the least. Some of us after dinner met up at the
local K-Mart
hangout where we met up with about 15 or so racers, Hondas,
Camaros,
etc. Needless to say, the testosterone was high in the area
and races
were to be evevitable. To make a long story short, fights
were avoided
and nobody got hurt (* but me and Amit would have rumbled for
our fellow
list members but got out alive and unhurt *).
Story-stretching removed
(sorry), a disaster was avoided, and we made our way
back for a Nightcap
and then off to bed.
Sunday:???? Where's my
drink? That day is close to a blur for me short
of me flashing the
camera before I left HEHEHE. All I can say is I
slept well for the trip
home.
Thanks again to all who came and made the weekend of my life
possible!
It took 2 days, but I'm now rested up. Lets get the Vegas

While it is
true that a fuel system upgrade (pump, injectors and
supporting electronics)
is a good idea when running higher boost
pressures than stock, I have to
disagree with the statement that the car
runs lean at 15psi with the stock
system. During our February dyno
testing, my SAVC-R was set to 1.00 bar
(roughly 15 psi) and the AFR
monitor never showed a lean condition. The
IDC was pegged, which may
result in shortened injector life, but lean?
Nope!
Now if you want to crank it up higher, then you gotta pay to
play!
BTW, I've been running 1.00 bar with the stock fuel system for 25k
miles
now, no sign of any problem whatsoever.
