Check out Todd's page under : www.tmo.com
He's selling the TMO Datalogger for 1st gen DSM cars, Price is $300.
Unfortunately, there is no 2nd gen around here to test it but I think it
doen't work on ODBII cars.

PS: I also have a DOS tool (Diacom) for the f-body (Camaro Z28). The normal
Version retails for about $299 but only a logging for 30 seconds and no
graph is possible. The Diacom Plus with the graphing and 20 minute of
recording costs $579. Compared to this the TMO Datalogger is a really good
deal !

what is this TMO?,
can it be used on older cars or does it need ODBII?
is it just a cable and software?
can the streamline graph speed be adjusted? (time scale)
can the data be saved? (ASCII or *.txt, etc.)
how much? from where?
I am very excited to see your results.

Thanks!

Please be a little patience as I'm currently rerouting the DSBC valves box
as well as the WI system is not yet installed (hardware yes but not
electrically). The car is not running at the moment and what I checked was
with the engine off.

- - TMO is Technomotive (Todd Day, well known in the DSM world)
- - It is used on ODBI or non-ODB cars (AFAIK, not ODBII)
- - It is a cable with a little plug and Software
- - Data logging is about 50-75 samples per second
- - I'm not sure about the streamline graph speed ... have to check it out
- - Saving data in its own format is possible (including replay)
- - Export should be working, although I haven't tried it. It could be that
this feature
is currently under Dev. for the WIN version
- - $300, TMO directly or call Vineet if you need help on another way for
ordering

If there are more people interested in this product we can maybe convince
Todd to finish the product with the features that are currently "under
developement". I do not need the virtual gauges but I definitely need the
export function into Excel (you know, I'm spreadsheet freak)

Hello all,

This might be slightly off-topic, but I think it really isn't.  There
might be some good stuff for the 3000gt in here.

There's a fella on ebay selling a ralliart catalogue.  Thought it might
be of interest to some of you:

Subject: Team3S: Stock Steering Wheel Radio control question

My stock stereo and CD (two unit) seems to be failing.

Is there any aftermarket stereo that will allow me to keep using the
radio controls located in the steering wheel.

If I ever decide to get rid of the stock unit, should I know something
about the Wiring harness, anything special because my stock setup
has 6 speakers

Best

1. No, the only thing you can do is modify the electronics on the steering
wheel buttons to work with the aftermarket unit. (not an easy task)
2. Nope, just be sure to buy the adapter harness so you don't have to cut
the dash harness.

Subject: Team3S: 1994 3000gt SL: fried wires: battery just click-clicks

Hello All!
I just bought a 1994 3000gt SL.
This is my first post to the list and I already have a problem.  I've
ordered the shop manual (expensive)
but I am trying to figure out what the cylinder-shaped thing is mounted on
the passenger side firewall
(under the hood): it is melted (and white "electrical" stuff is splattered
on and around it) at the grey clip
where 4 dark blue wires (with an orange stripe on each) leed into it.  I
think it might be the anti-lock
brake system (what's it called, ABS?) or something.  I was just sitting at
idle on a raining day with the
windshield wipers, radio, AC and radar detector on and the radio started
receiveing much interference
and humming loudly, then it shut on and off, but this was after the radar
detector kept going in and out
of different band modes.  I turned the radar detector off and unplugged it
and when I left and approached
the first stop the brakes kind of made a deep noise as I braked and the
antilock brake light went on.
I kept the radio off and managed to barely pull in the garage 10min. later
and I could not start the car
then: all I got was the clicking sound that one hears with a drained
battery.  I checked the voltage with
the car off and got about 12.12 volts (sorry, didn't do it with the key
on).  Then I noticed the fried wires and,
since this is only the 2nd time to have the hood open and since the car had
been checked out by a
reliable mechanic before I bought it, I assume the wires just got in that
state.  Also, that white gunky stuff
splattered around the melted clip looked fresh and "moist".  Do you think
this is something I can fix
myself when the gold-plated (expensive!) manual arrives or will I ever be
able to tell myself WHY it
happened so it doesn't happen again?  I'm thinking of getting that TMO
Datalogger myself, how else do
you read the codes on these cards?  I have not found a website yet that has
the codes or a picture so
I can tell what this thing is.  What do you all think about putting some
diagrams/codes out on the website
and in maybe adding some type of search tools to search headings of the
archive files?   Thank you
much in advance and I am looking forward to sharing tales of the 3000gt in
action!!

Bob
