I went and got my new plugs yesterday, and am going to
put them in =

It seems to me that someone recommended a gap, other

039-.043 in.
My car is stock, with only K&N

By the way got the set of plugs, plenum gasket, EGR gasket, fuel
filter, =
and 4 copper

parts were around $93.00.
It seem to remember that was Roger Gerl, but I

Whatever you don't go with no thermostat, even with "Detroit
Iron", as
the end result is that the coolant passes through the block so fast
that
it doesn't have time to pick up enough heat to cool the
engine
properly. Even when no thermostat is used, a restrictor needs to
be put
in its place to slow the flow.

As you haven't increased boost the
stock gap is ok. But when you ever plan to
increase boost up to 15psi then
gap them to 0.034" or lesswith more mods.

Seems to be an appropriate

Subject: Team3S: First
Mod and Missing Link
I'm considering my first mod, that being the
replacement of
the stock air filter with a K&N FIPK. There was a posting
on
the starnet list a while back, stating that a Blitz Core type
filter
and a HKS VPC would be a better choice than the K&N.
Opinions
please?????
Because of a variety of nonessential interests and hobbies,
my
budget for major car mods is on the slim side. Having a black car,
I
have considered having it professionally touched up, buffed out
and a new
clear coat applied. The car's finish was properly taken
care of by the
previous owner, but there are the usual chips out
of the paint, minor
scratches, etc.
The costs for each of these options is about the same
($150.00).
So, I'm trying to figure out if I should just touch up the
paint
and give it a good wax job myself and install the K&N, or
put
off the K&N and have the finish worked on professionally.
(Why is
it, that a simple decision such as this becomes a major
dilemma when one
tosses in their "car of a lifetime"?)
BTW --- we switched computers about
a month ago and all
of my bookmarked pages went off into cyberspace. I've
been
searching all of the links looking for the site of the guy who is
a
professional detailer and I can't find it. I thought I remembered
it either
being on, or linked to Gregg Couture's site -- but no luck.
I just started building my own site -- it's pretty weak right
now,
but at least it has some pix of the car.
Any and all answers and
flames will be appreciated.

To those who have done an alarm install themselves on a 92 3S.
How did you
overcome the factory alarm? is there a central unit that can just

my

If you install a
VPC then a VPC-adapter must be choosen as well. There is no
Blitz adapter
avaible and must be custom done or it comes with a non-Blitz kit.
But you
must also know that if you buy something like that the stock MAS
cannot
be used and a VPC must be used instead !

Then you'll not install a VPC ($850) and other
fuel mods needed for it (mucho
$$).

Get the K&N (it helps and even more on a
NA) and do the wax job with Zaino
polish. It did a great job when I got back
my car with the new paint. Here's the

A Blitz Core type will flow
better then a K&N regardless of other mods.
There's also need for any

was directed at the

before one
received their order. The answer at this point seems to be around
the 2+

close

Well, turns out I'd missed
a couple steps in the install. I'm just thankfull it was

had Mike
Mahaffey look at it, the install's ok and he thinks it's runnin
pretty strong. I think I

Oskar,
Is the fuel pressure sender you refer to a
electrical sending unit, or a
pressure isolator? If it is a elec. sending
unit, i would remove the fuel rails
and tap into one of them. I'm sure the
thread size is 1/8" NPT. You could also
cut the inlet line between the filter
and fuel rails and use a brass tee
connector, but i would recomend against
trusting hose clamps to hold that kind
of pressure.
On the other
hand, if it is a pressure isolator (used on the mech gages) all i
can say is,
GOOD LUCK.......Iv'e never known anyone, including myself, who was
able to
get one of those things bled and working properly.
Whatever you decide,
just make sure you mount it somewhere between the fuel
filter and the fuel
pressure regulator..........good luck...
